Parents with children will be please to find that there are number of schools located in the area, ensuring that most students find themselves within walking distance to and from school. In fact there are several schools within the neighborhood. These include:

The largest campus in South Congress is St. Edward’s University. This private, non-profit, liberal arts, Roman Catholic university has close to 5,000 student and offers undergraduate programs in everything from marketing, to Spanish, to acting, to graphic design, to environmental chemistry.

The 416-acre lake was named after First Lady of the United States Lady Bird Johnson. The lake is popular among paddleboarders, kayakers, and rowers.
